This is our Houston.
Steven Owsley was born and raised here, from a family of Texas trial lawyers. He opened his practice in 1985 and has never left: Harris County courtrooms, the same freeways his clients get hurt on, the same neighborhoods they come home to.
Two offices, Sawyer Street near downtown and Westheimer Road in the Galleria area, so a meeting is never far. And when the case calls for it, the firm goes anywhere in Texas.

Should I hire a lawyer after a Texas car accident?
If you were hurt and someone else was at fault, yes. The insurance company has adjusters and lawyers working from day one. A lawyer handles the claim, protects the evidence, and negotiates from strength. It costs nothing unless we win.
How much does it cost to hire Owsley Law Firm?
Nothing up front. The consultation is free and every case is handled on a contingency fee, so there is no fee unless we recover money for you.
What is my car accident case worth?
It depends on the injuries, the medical care you need now and later, lost income, and the insurance available. No honest lawyer can quote a number on the first call, but we can tell you what matters and what to protect.
Should I give the insurance adjuster a recorded statement?
Not before you talk to a lawyer. Adjusters are trained to use early statements to reduce what they pay. Report the crash, then call us before saying more.
How long do I have to file an injury claim in Texas?
Generally two years from the date of injury, with important exceptions that can shorten it. Evidence disappears faster than that. Call as soon as you can.
Do you handle cases outside Houston?
Yes. The firm is licensed statewide in Texas and represents crash victims across the state from its two Houston offices.
